Biography
Eminent Victorian publisher, famously of the poetry of Wordsworth and Tennyson. In 1857 Moxon published an illustrated anthology of Tennyson's poems which revolutionised the art of book illustration, combining engravings after Maclise, Creswick and Horsley of the early Victorian outline school with the dramatic and emotional woodengravings of the Pre-Raphaelites Rossetti, Holman Hunt and Millais.
