Artist and mezzotint engraver. Son (and pupil) of mezzotint-engraver Philip Dawe (1745?-1809?); brother of artists George Dawe, R.A. (1781-1829), James Philip Dawe (1794-1879) and Mary Margaret Dawe (1785-1871).
