| Content Description | In reply to the Secretary's letter of 24 January 1940, the King would like to extend to the whole of the royal family the ruling that all portraits should be approved before going on display. Alexander suggests that all royal portraits could be sent to Buckingham Palace by van and displayed in a suitable room before the King and Queen for approximately half an hour, before being returned to the RA. |
