| Content Description | Thanking him for the completion of his portrait, and complimenting him on its quality. The letter encloses Middleton Todd's draft reply, in which he agrees to waive the cost of the frame. The reverse bears a second draft letter, addressed to Mr Prichard, in which he thanks his correspondent for a cutting from The Times relating to [Henry] Tonks, and relates an anecdote about a caricature of Tonks by a friend of his, Heber Thompson. Middleton Todd adds that Tonks "was a terrifying man[,] but I have the highest regard for him!" |
