| Content Description | Requesting that the Secretary deliver an enclosed letter to the Council immediately, 8 April 1796, enclosing a letter from Beechey to the Council, in which, referring to a request from the Hanging Committee that he withdraw one of his whole length paintings from the exhibition on grounds of lack of space after Hoppner had consented to do the same, he asked therefore to withdraw all his pictures. |
