| Responsibility Note | In Part I the portrait of Artus Quellinius is signed as drawn and engraved by Hubertus Quellinius. Plates A, C and F are signed 'Artus Quellinus e marmore exsculpsit. Hubertus Quellinus æri incidit'; most are signed simply 'A.Q.' and 'H.Q.', many simply 'A.Q.', and a few are unsigned. In Part II the two folding and the two double plates are signed by A. Quellinus and H. Quellinus; no other plate is signed.
The work is dedicated by Hubertus Quellinus to the Regeerende Burgermeesteren der Stadt Amsterdam. |
