| Content Description | Copy letter complaining on behalf of the President and Council about a broadcast by Harold Nicholson on the [summer] exhibition in which he 'ridiculed the Royal Academy as a dull, old-fashioned institution which "disapproves of the younger generation", and is therefore ignored by many of the best artists.' The President and Council hoped that some means might be found of remedying Mr Nicholson's contemptuous flippancy. |
