Summary NoteThese two volumes are a sequel to the Remarks on Several Parts of Europe which Breval had published in 1726. In the first volume Breval describes places which he visited in Italy; in the second, those which he visited in northern and central France, Switzerland, Germany, central and southern France and Paris.

The work is dedicated by the author to Charles, Duke of Richmond, Lenox and Aubigni.
