Content DescriptionHe has been officially notifed that the Academy want to buy St. Agnes out of the Chantrey Bequest. He was anxious all the same as despite assurances from Poynter and Abbey no-one had heard from Fry.

At the Club Dinner he was introduced by Crofts to Wollen the military painter. He sat opposite T.L. Devitt, who Sargent painted the previous year.

Enclosed is a press cutting noticing purchases under the Chantrey bequest.
