|Content Description||He remains at Stratton at Sir F's request, the picture is well advanced and successful; Northcote is unfit to fill the chair [of Professor of Painting], he extemporises on the moral position Farington finds himself in; Lawrence's opinions of Fuseli would make that act contemptible; Lawrence is in an uncomfortable position as regards West, who has been kind to him, but he must change sides and back a man who has, in the past, injured Farington.|
