Summary NoteSome copies have bound in the paper cover of this cuaderno, of which the title reads, 'Monumentos Arquitectónicos De España. Publicados de Rl. Orden y por disposicion del Ministerio de Fomento. Cuaderno No.'

The titles are in Spanish only; but the text is in Spanish and French in parallel.

The work describes the Franciscan Convento de S Juan de los Reyes, in Toledo, which was commissioned in 1476 by Queen Isabella from the architect Juan Guas. The richly decorated structure combines elements of Arab and Gothic Flamboyant styles in the fusion known as 'Hispano-Flemish style'.

The plates are captioned and show: [1] Exterior Del Ábside De La Iglesia; [2] Planta De La Iglesia Y Claustro Procesional; [3] Seccion Longitudinal De La Iglesia; [4] Copia De La Traza Original Del Ábside Y Crucero De La Iglesia; [5] Detalles Del Crucero; [6] Restos De Las Vidrieras; [7] Corte Longitudinal Del Claustro; [8] Compartimento Del Claustro; [9, 10] Detalles Del Claustro; [11] Retratos De Johan Guas (Arquitecto De San Juan ...), Su Mujer É Hijos.

Plates [6] and [11] are printed in full color, as are the two in-text initials on pages 1 and 10.
Responsibility NoteAll plates except no. [4] are signed by their draughtsmen - S. Viaplana, F. Jareño, J. Vallejo, G. de la Gándara, C. Mujica, P. Gonzalvo. All are signed by engravers - E. Stüler, F.P. Baquero, E. Ancelet, D. Martinez, F. Kraus.

Each plate carries the name of the printer - in most cases, that of the Calcografía De La Imprenta Nacional, but on plates [9] and [11] that of (Lit. Alemana) Fuencarral 20, Madrid.

The title-page vignette is signed as drawn by F. Madrazo and engraved by D. Martinez; the headpiece as drawn by Pizarro and engraved by Martinez; the first initial as lithographed by J.J. Martinez and litho-printed by J. Donon. The other decorated initial and the tailpiece are unsigned.
