Summary NoteNo author is named, but the dedication is signed by Titiano Vecellio Pittore, presumably the distant relation of Titian, who published in 1622 his Vita del insigne Tiziano Vecellio. This Tiziano Vecellio is sometimes known as Tizianello. He may have prepared this Compendio specially for Lady Arundel, who was in Italy in 1613-14 (with her husband and Inigo Jones) and again in 1620-25, and who tried to persuade Tizianello to accompany her to Britain.

The portrait is captioned 'Titianus Veccellius Cadubriensis Pictor Et Æques Cæs'.
Responsibility NoteThe portrait is unsigned; but the note 'A Virtuosi Lettori, lo Stampatore' states that it was 'dissegnata dall'illustre Signor Odoardo fialetti Pittore'.

The work is dedicated by Titiano Vecellio Pittore to Madama Di Arundell, Surrey, &c.
