Summary NoteThe text consists chiefly of letters, to and from Rubens, B. Gerbier and others, conserved in H.M. State Paper Office (afterwards the Public Record Office, subsequently part of the Great Britain National Archives). It concludes with 'An Inventory Of Pictures Found In The Howse Of The Late Sr Peter Paul Rubens, Knt, After His Death.'

The frontispiece shows the arms of Rubens, and is captioned 'Sir Peter Paul Rubens Knt. Certified At The Heralds Office Brussels'. It is lithographed in color. The plate shows various objects in Rubens's collection.
