This drawing was produced by Alfred Ansell while he was a student at the Royal Academy Schools. It is signed by both Marcus Stone, the 'Visitor' or teacher, and by H. P. Bosdet, the Curator of the Schools. As the inscriptions on the sheet indicate, Ansell won a prize for this drawing at the Royal Academy Schools in 1886.
