Summary NoteIn collaboration the three Carracci painted the story of Aeneas in the Palazzo Fava, Bologna, about 1586.

The numbered plates show episodes from Vergil's Aeneid; the eight unnumbered plates show elements of decorative framework (male and female nudes). Plates I-XII each carry Latin captions.
