Content DescriptionThanking Poynter for his reply to Aldenham's letter [of 22 November 1902 concerning Alfred Gilbert's unfinished reredos for St Albans Abbey]. Aldenham would be grateful if Poynter could find an opportunity to speak to Gilbert about the matter, and quite agreed that sterner measures "would do no good, and might push the poor man down to a lower level." Aldenham praises the reredos and urges Poynter to see it, adding an invitation to Aldenham House.
